Unemployment is not an entitlement (as Robert says...WHO THE HELL IS
THIS GUY?!).   

       
      Are you arguing FOR my point or AGAINST it?? I can't tell.  You
paid into your insurance for 15 years and now are in a position to use
it for the first time.  You are ENTITLED to make claim on this insurance
that you paid for.  This makes it an entitlement does it not?  Income is
direct compensation for service rendered.  I know this isn't the IRS
definition, but that is the question at hand is it not?
       
      Like you I am on the fence about weather this money should be
taxed, I tend to leave toward no.  The reason it becomes difficult is
because of people who have not paid into it (like immigrants) and jump
through the same hoops to get their check.
       
      Marc, you seem a little unhinged!  Are you going to start
