Re: [DMCForum] Re: 6 Out Of 10 (Farrar)

Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional.

You know I was being sarcastic -- I can't knock Ford. Even my el-cheapo
Ranger is going strong. I haven't even bothered to give it a tune-up and
at 97,000+ miles it kicks ass ... It starts in less than a second. It
gets decent mileage for a truck. It handles great for a truck. It turns
tighter than my co-worker's Mazda 929. And the terrible roads I drive on
have never managed to knock it out of alignment more than 0.02% in
almost four years. A friend of mine has a 1989 Ranger, 3.0L V6 5-speed,
over 250,000 miles and going strong. Hey, I'm impressed.

Interestingly enough, I had some trivia on the air today ... Henry Ford
drove his first automobile in 1896. It was called a Quadricycle. Four
horsepower, max speed 20mph. Two-cylinder engine with -leather- belt and
chain! What a long way we have come! :D
