Dual exhaust is easier and more effective. My underhood temps have
dropped dramatically since converting. Catalytic converter operates at
least 800 degrees. Muffler runs entire width of the engine compartment
(also blocks air from under the car, assuming your airflow theory is
correct). In fact stock exhaust wraps completely around the engine --
looping back twice on the driver's side. It's a terrible design IMHO,
especially since the engine relies so heavily on rubber seals and O rings.
