Good grief -- what degree thermostat do you have in your car? Mine
opens somewhere in the neighborhood of 195. Engine's plenty warm by then.
Remember the bad old days when engine mounted cooling fans spun all
the time? (Or until a fan clutch stopped them at SPEED, not idle, or
AFTER a certain engine compartment temp was reached). System worked
pretty well for nearly 100 years...
