Hi Rick,

Yes, I've been obsessing and dreaming and then finally strategizing for
the last ten years or so. To be just a year or so away from actually
owning one has brought a great deal of calm to my life. I recently
looked at my finances and felt a sense of relief I didn't expect ... I
walked around all day grinning and chuckling. I even had acquaintances
ask if I had a new girlfriend or had lost weight. Hard to explain to
them... "No, I'm just planning on getting a piece of my dream next
spring." I even figured that the first thing I would have to do would be
replace the TABs and shocks, and that didn't dampen my spirits ... I
thought "Yeah, but it'll be MY bolts and shocks!" I just hope I don't
get a lowered car ... large areas of town would be off-limits!

Nah, that would seem too egotistical. Besides which, I "made" it out of
bits of other cars -- it's not all original.
Besides, they don't require front plates in Louisiana. ;)
I do plan on getting a personalized license plate when I get the car,
though I'm not sure what to get. I have thought of "TYPE 304" and "NACHO
D", as well as "DOC" (coincidentally my nickname in school), but I would
prefer "JAZZ TPT" -- though it has nothing to do with the car, it has
much to do with the guy driving it, and it is also a tribute to my
favourite trumpet teacher and a really great guy, who has the same
license plate in a different state. (And working on it all the time, heh
heh.) ... Perhaps I'll put up a poll and let the Forum decide! OK, I'm
babbling now, I'll stop.

I agree. It's like making love and shouting "Yes! Yes! Yes!" all the
way, and then afterwards saying "You know my dear, I would have
preferred a cold potato to what just happened between you and me..."
