I'm still burning a factory radiator. If it comes out, an all metal
one is going back in its place (guaranteed soap free).
This soap like substance looks like off white caviar. It has little
granules or BB's, glued together with white goo that looks like... The
BB's are soft enough to crush between your fingers. Leave a slick
residue. Don't create any bubbles however.
When I cleaned out the internal water pipe discovered cold water had
absolutely no effect whatsoever. If anything is going to break this
stuff loose, it's going to have to be hot. That may be why my radiator
isn't cleaning itself -- is totally cold to the touch (at the same
time coolant is boiling in the rear. Too bad I can't circulate that
280 degree water!).
