James,
First of all, Walt's not in a nut farm because he's not a nut,
he's "eccentric". Remember, poor people are crazy. Rich folks are
eccentric.
Second, you did the right thing. Oh sure, you could fumble-fsck
around trying to get the title but this could also be a scam where
you pay her and she claims you stole it and she has the title or any
number of bad scenarios.
I say that when she $hit$ a title, then you take her seriously. Don't
sweat it.
