I think those guys are using like a cement-type glue. I use emblem glue.
It's made to re-glue logos and crap back onto the body when they fall off. I
use it to glue the BTTF pipe brackets and one of them sits on the glass. The
glue is clear and does not crack or stain the glass.
If you use the clear emblem glue, glue all around the edges and trim any
that spills out the edge with a knife.

thats what I thought..do you actually glue all along the edge of the window
or just at the base which disappears into the door?
I keep hearing how if you use the wrong glue on the rear view mirror your
front windshield can crack so I thought glue touching glass was a no no...
