I can believe that... but... why does it fix itself for the
rest of the day after I stop for a few minutes and let it
cool down? I'll really be stretching it to put a new
radiator in there before the Pigeon Forge show. I'm already
considering ways to put a band-aid on that hole in my
evaporator and dump some cheap R-134a in there. It would be
an interesting experiment to see if the system gums up after
sucking out all the old R-12.
Any suggestions for patching a small hole in the high-side
pipe holding the orifice? I've been told that JB-Weld tends
to not stick due to thermal expansion/contraction. I might
try putting some sort of saddle-splice thingy over it.
Anyone got any ideas?
