I'm already one step ahead of you. Have been using my old HSS bits and
blades in the router, table saw, etc with excellent results. Being a
wood worker, not a metal worker or machinist, I was afraid the results
would look 2 steps below amateur but have been very surprised. Working
aluminum is SO different than steel. Has almost made me into a
believer of that alloy.
I'll take some pics of the adapter and manifold (35mm, converted
digital at developing) as soon as it's finished.
Or maybe you'll get to see it in person...
Speaking of chips: you should see my driveway. Is absolutely covered
in aluminum dust. Looks like something out of the Wizard of Oz.
