[DMCForum] reassembly advise

Hey Everybody
I have several questions. I recently removed my left front fender and my
front fascia. Now I'm gathering what I need to put it all back together.
First of all, when I was removing the fender, I had a lot of trouble
with the screws securing the rocker panel to the bottom of the car. Most
of them were rusted in place, and I broke the heads off trying to get
them out. Now I have the sheared studs stuck in the rivnuts. What's the
best method for removing them?
On the same note, I have a rivnut that is loose in it's socket on the
topside of the car. I was thinking of just using a dab of epoxy to hold
it in place. Is there anything wrong with that idea or is there a better
way to do it?
Also, the foam bumper has some sort of coating from the factory that is
starting to peel. Is there any product I can put on it to protect the
foam?
Now, it seems to me that the guy who wrote the procedure on
removal/installation of the fascia and fender missed a few steps and
made it sound much easier than it actually is. For those of you who have
done this before- what sequence should I take to reinstall this stuff?
What kind of unwritten troubles should I expect?
Thanks!
Eric Itzel
