Somehow that totally slipped my mind! Doh! I forgot that the body
itself is fiberglass... So how do the crumple zones work on this car?

Farrar,
This might be the only case where "size doesn't matter" that
you will
ever run into. The DeLorean doesn't have a stainless steel
body. It
has a fiiberglass body with a stainless steel skin for looks.
Remember,
the body is only held on with screws/rivnuts.
