I certainly don't intend on buying an 81. I plan on buying an 82 or
83, with at least 80k miles on the clock.

      I don't think anyone really cares. Certainly I've seen nothing
to
      suggest these early cars should be worth more because they're
so early.
      Most need a lot of TLC to bring them up to the standard of a
well-kept
      late 81. 551, for example, didn't have a bead of silicone
anywhere on
      the car and leaked like a sieve.
