I know my car does this only while it is cold. Have your ran long enough
to let it warm up (front fans come on) then have it work properly? I
have some vacuum hoses disconnected so it is always advancing sooner
than it should while cold. Might help to know if the car does his warm
or cold, or both, help figure out what areas of the engine is active at
the time.
