Uh, well word on the street (street meaning DML), is that anything
over 220 for more than five minutes risks blowing headgaskets. Often,
the "big names" on the list such as David Titlebaum the like say
this. I'll dig into the archives and find out who says so.

My own personal experience with headgaskets is a little confusing.
I'm not sure if they were already blown, or if I blew them. I did
have my engine up to 220 a few times when my water pump was leaking.
I was troubleshooting fuel issues at the time.

I only brought it up because he said it was so hot and THEN he
noticed a new leak. If he drains his oil and it's clean then to me,
that casts doubt on the theory.
