Force the fuel pump on (car not running) and check the fuel flow returning into the tank. I forget the flow rate. 2 liters per minute? Also check the little screen under the banjo fitting going into the CPR. It could be clogged with particulates. Any restriction on the suction side will probably make the fuel pump noisy.
