I tried Progressive & Gieco. I don't remember which, but one couldn't figure out what a DeLorean was, and the other had a rather high price but would give me a better deal if I insured other cars with them. After comparing prices, I talked Prudential (the company I already had cars insured with) into covering it or risk loosing me as a customer. The drawback is that the D is insured for liability only. If it's stolen, vandalized or I wreck it on my own then it's not covered. I'd like to change that, but they wouldn't cover it any other way. This started as a "we'll do it for one year and consider keeping you if we like you" sort of deal. I've had that for a few years now. With the money I'm saving I can afford another DeLorean (parts car), so the deal makes sense (for now). Walt Yahoo!
