Actually, back in 1983 or so, one of my neighbors drove a DeLorean all winter -- it was his "winter car". The idea was wide wheelbase and rear engine would give him traction, and I'll say it certainly did. He had one of the few cars that could get up our hill when covered in snow. He did warn though, that if the snow was over about 18", the whole thing became a big toboggan.
