Thanks for that tip, Greg. I hope I never need that info, though. Losing my brakes would be dangerous enough. Good thing I don't habitually violate speed limits. You know, I've wondered just how I could finesse the thing enough to use it gently with my left foot. It irks me how most parking brakes are foot-operated and in a clumsy position on most newer vehicles. At least mine has a release catch! I got a Chevy once on loan that had the driver step on the brake to engage it, and then step on it again to disengage it!!! Big PITA, IMHO. Oh for a good hand brake. Or something.
