When I was a teenager one of the front calipers siezed on my parent's Chevy wagon. Was able to push back with tire iron, but every time applied would sieze again. Experimented stopping in parking lot with parking brake. Worked well at those slow speeds, so we started off for home. Imagine surprise when first time applied on road did absolutely nothing! Of course used regular brakes, locking up right back up again. Called tow truck after that. Don't have high hopes of stopping a car with parking brake. Note to Rich, Mike, & Dave: fire department buddy who towed Rich's car was one driving above failed experiment. We've been friends since kindergarten.
