Hey everyone I'm just now getting caught up on my emails (gone since last wednesday!) I really enjoyed the Maryland Tech session. This was really the first time I've hung around with other D owners since I got my car so I picked up a lot of good tips. I got there a little late, but that didn't stop Bill from fixing my frozen power antenna or Mike from repainting the little fins between the door and glass. The guys also helped my spot a very important vacuum leak and for a while wondered how I made it 600 miles with decent fuel economy. I also have to add I'm impressed with Mike's cosmetic bolt replacement habit- change every non-critical bolt in the engine bay with a stainless bolt and it makes it all look much better! It was time well spent, and on a side note my car did very well on the return trip (even with God's own vacuum leak that I happen to have..) and I'm getting ready to attack my problems. Again I want to thank Mike, Bill, and Rich. You guys didn't hesitate to dive into my problems, even though I must say it's alarming to have 3 guys run at your car with ratchets and a gleam in their eyes. If I'm headed back to MD for christmas, count me in on the next gathering. Thanks! We are quickly getting a great reputation for having alot of fun and getting alot done. We even had the Dave Straggand be the master of ceremonies at our last one. The only catch is they pop up quickly, are unsactioned and must listen to Bill R. complain about the lambda system and attept to rip yours out of your car :-) I hope Eric from Tennessee will post about how much we got done on his car on short notice late at night :-) I am guessing we will get Tech session III around the christmas holidays since I am off for 2 weeks and BIll is up in MD anyway...They tend to begin around 4pm and run till about 3am or whenever your car is done....My wife caters the affair and keeps us fed. I want to thank Bill for helping me replace my clutch master cylinder and bleed the system. Also we did the sway bar bracket recall in about an hour.....There is nothing like getting those old round bushings out and getting new ones in....mine almost disintegrated in my hand...my crumple tube now has the correct reinforcement.... I encourage anyone within 200 miles to join us next time... Mike C 2109 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
