To install the PJ Grady collar, Tom just tapped it in with a hammer, no big deal. We had the front of the car on jack stands supported by the frame. We used a floor jack to support the lower control arm holding the spring compressed so that we could pop the joint loose. With the arm sitting on a jack like this, we rested a 10lb sledge hammer on top of the arm to give it some inertia/stability while Tom tapped the collar in with a hammer. I suppose that in Tom's case, the reinforcement collar should have been smaller. That would have compressed the sleeve a little more and maybe have made it tight enough so that it wouldn't have needed that shim he stuck in there. Walt Yahoo!
