This was a while ago so sorry if im vague, I rigged my FV ecu up with 12v, used a scope and could see it was not working at all. so I took out the PCB and de soldered each component and tested it. Like said it was the IC that was at fault,,one of the 3(or 4) gates had blown on the chip. When i replaced the chip i tried it and it worked. Oh and the other thing i can remember is theres an error on the wiring diagram for the FV. I did not have access to another ecu to try hence using the scope to test it out of the car. Can you borrow someones ecu to try?. Or take a gamble and replace the IC, I paid 30p in the UK for one, it may pay off. Yahoo!
