Brother Maynard has consulted the Book of DeLorean. To wit: Chapter D:04:14, verse 3: "If it is necessary to supply power to the Lambda system when the engine is not running, by-pass the RPM relay by removing the relay and connecting a jumper wire between terminals No.87b and No.30 in the connector." So, If the 1) valve, 2)wiring and 3)ECU are good, the valve will buzz at the fixed ratio because the O2 sensor is not hot enough while the engine is running so send the input voltage to the ECU. 1) The valve is good because it has power and when I jumper the ground terminal on the valve to the engine block I can manually switch the valve open and closed. I can "be" the ECU. :-) 2) The wiring to the valve appears good because red/purple has 12 VDC and the red/brown ground wire passed a continuity check from the ECU plug, alllll the way to the freq valve indicating it is unbroken. The wiring to the ECU is good because I can measure voltage on the green/yellow wire which feeds the ECU from the Lambda relay, which is fed by the RPM relay. I have checked the grounds on the ECU and they are clean and tight. 3) I can not PROVE that the ECU is operating correctly. Since I don't have that type of test equipment I can only swap them out.
