[DMCForum] Re: Measuring "Current"

Have used milliamp setting exactly one time -- to measure CURRENT
through dash switch in my rewired headlight circuit (something like 30
ma -- side & tail lights moved to a new relay). After setting car on
fire (internal bulb short. Different problem I know, but WAS caused by
guts melting...) wanted as little CURRENT passing through that thing
as possible.

I've found that ignition systems only need two measurements:
- Resistance across coil (no more than 1-2 ohms)
- Voltage into coil (at least 7-8 volts)
Usually check HT output by simply clipping timing light onto
distributor lead.

You have promised at least one rude activity at Pigeon Forge.

If my crappy ignition system carries me that far...
