Haven't followed ALL "Groovy Idea" messages, but Re: LED's in tail lights: LED arrays with 1156 bases are very common now. Outfit I bought "bulb condoms" from sells: http://www.trucknvans.com/bulbs/ Problem: LED's only project light beam straight ahead. Are VERY focused. LED's in tail lights look like bright little dots. Was a picture floating around other group not long ago. Looked worse than standard 1156's. Not all bulbs are created equal. People who've seen my tail lights know I tried several 1156's to find brightest possible. Current set is some sort of "Euro Style" from Autozone. 5-10w I think. Since Fall Foliage have replaced brake lights with halogen back up bulbs (remember: my brake lights are former tail lights, so there's plenty of venting to dissipate heat). Look wonderful. Haven't measured amperage, but they're not blowing fuse. Two halogens can't draw much more than four 1156's... Bill Robertson #5939 Yahoo!
