[DMCForum] Re: High HP PRV's

Only mention 600 HP racing motors to benefit people who claim PRV is
hopeless crap.

9.5:1 seems to be standard European spec for PRV. Were dumbed down for
American consumption (Volvo did same). Difference seems to be in the
heads. Piston profiles look domed to begin with, even on Volvo F
series. Rich A has seen them head on -- what's the shape?

Never gave PRV a second thought until I bought my DeLo. While trying
to ID my particular installation ran into many owners very unhappy
with the block. Corresponded at length with two who had done Chevy
conversions. Of course my ongoing tune-up issues didn't instill great
confidence.

Now, after last weekend's excursion, would sell rest of the car before
I'll sell my R30 (you can always buy another DeLo).

Am not a big fan of racing motors either. My sister has hopped up 390
jambed into her Mustang. Is miserable car to ride in. Rattles your
fillings. Is noisy and stinks. Damdest thing is: I could probably take
her in my Lincoln with factory spec 11:1 460. And it's a 5000 lbs
luxury cruiser!
