Because removed your scale could be off. What reads as 5 degress may actually be TDC, etc. Until re-indexed are probably going to have to time by ear. What are RPM's when you time? 13 is a 750 RPM spec I believe. My Renault block grooves 10ish at 900 RPM (B27E and R30 specs from internet). Tried closer to 8 but unburned fuel smell spiked. I've been painting mess out of my car with Rustoleum flat black in the power painter. People at SEDOC and Mid Atlantic have seen results (windshield trim done after SEDOC) if you want objective opinion. Yields a fine textured finish, not glassy smooth, which is actually what I prefer.
