ya, but in 1981, the D would have probably gotten the 4-cylinder series 1 leftovers. I think it had the same bosch k-jetronics as the PRV. This just was the technology at the time. Still so, just about anything would have been better than the PRV, imo. likewise, ferrari was making the sloooow 308 in 1980; but had the f40 by 1991.
