First: ensure your car indeed has traditional ignition (don't flame me: I don't know -- lost interest in auto manufacturing in early 80's). >From Autozone: - Conrad makes nice cap & rotor combo with brass rather than aluminum. About $12 for my Lincolns. - Autozone's private label wires are standard performance (200-300 ohms per foot) but do carry lifetime warranty. Are 8mm. For some reason 8 three foot long V8 wires cost half as much as 4 two footers. For fun while there check out Autozone's PRV wireset (#9016). - Vacuum leak at DeLo mode switch was first time I've ever had problem with Delco plugs. Wasn't plugs' fault. Have a set of HR9's in there now only because my Autozone was out of Delcos (Autozone doesn't sell HR6). Consider them on probabtion. Will test drive to Fall Foliage. If they give any problem am throwing some more R44's in. That's about it. While you're under hood why not upgrade vacuum hoses (I use Autozone's fuel line hose by the foot), replace belt(s), PCV valve and breather filter, and perhaps fuel filter. Don't forget to change oil and replace air filter.
