Monday evening I'll be having my DeLorean towed to a shop to have the crumple tube ass'y welded up. We commence work Tuesday a.m. I'm guessing that removing the fuel tank would be smart since welding is in the vicinity. Is there anything else that should be removed? This is an attempt at repair, not replacement. I don't pretend to be a structural mechanic. To me, the damage is severe. An experienced welder/fabricator may look at it and say "It's not so bad". I hope that's what happens because if I'm right and it is that bad, I'll be out of action for quite a while to save up for a replacement. I must really like this car. I get aggravated but I haven't thought in depth about giving up. I would have unloaded any other car that gave me this many problems a long time ago. Yahoo!
