Yes, here are the postings. Can we put this to rest now? People have died in deloreans. From: "Sean Howley" <tsuyoi@xxxx> Date: Thu Nov 11, 1999 8:27 pm Subject: [DML] Death of a DeLorean Last night (Wed. Nov 10) a local DeLorean was involved in an accident. The driver (Mr. Lang of Farragut, TN) is listed in critical condition. The accident was allegedly caused by Mr. Lang passing over the center line and colliding with a Dodge minivan. The front end of the DeLorean "disintegrated" and the car had to be cut open to get the two occupants out. All three people involved were injured and brought to the hospital. I will be trying to get more information if I can. I have located the wreckage, but no one is allowed to even see it - for insurance reasons probably. Mr. Lang, our prayers are with you! Sean Howley VIN#2345 Unfortunately, Mr. Lang died due to the injuries received from the accident 24 to 36 hours after it occurred. I do not have any other information about him, his family, or arrangements at this time. I am still trying to gather additional information about what had occurred. I did see the car today (from a distance as I was not allowed to get any closer) and I can understand why what happed, did due to the extreme damage to the car. I am going to try to get some pictures that I can post as I remember several people wondering about crash worthiness of these cars. However, it is important to note that the DeLorean and the minivan were heading toward eachother at least at 50 miles an hour - this would mean that the impact speed would have been at least 100 mph. It also seemed that the minivan went over the top of the DeLorean (my personal guess) as the roof seemed to be caved in. I was only able to see the car from the front and except for one door poking up in the air, it was unrecognizable to me. Sean Howley VIN#2345 have been removed] Yahoo!
