How's that "keeping it original" treating you? Have long advocated someone experimenting de-emissioning stock DeLo. Martin G and I can't do it because our cars came that way. Perhaps you are the pioneer... De-emission all my Lincolns (except for '69 460 re-power because it came that way). Improves performance markedly. Is also much more reliable without all that vacuum crap under hood. Turn of decade domestics particularly insidious because of EGR. Worst idea in the world (although it does help engine heat up at 1,000 degrees below zero). Re: church -- not long after purchasing DeLo, pastor made JZD's late life religious awakening subject of sermon. Everyone knew where he got idea. Kids in youth group FINALLY realize how cool I am. To them Lincolns were just "big old cars". DeLo is other story. If only they knew. Hate to burst any bubbles in these Groups, but Mark V can eat DeLoreans for lunch and still have room for desert. Truly a Man's car. Haven't had time even to wash DeLo for a month or more. If I come up there will you do mine? Speaking of which: did you ever buy one of those Covercraft car covers? Fit better than a glove. Have been impressed with their products for years, but DeLo cover made me true proselyte. Indispensible for garageless people like us (I live in pine country).
