Hmm, I think I wouldn't trust that mechanic again. Sounds like the same logic that a four cylinder uses four quarts of oil, a six cylinder uses six, and an eight would, of course, use eight. Wrong. I was at a dealership one day when someone brought their then new Dodge Omni in saying the engine was running really bad and had no power. The person had just returned from a long trip and remarked the engine oil was extremely low and it had to be topped off on the way home. The service guys opened the oil fill cap only to find the _entire_ engine had been filled to the top. Greg Yahoo!
