>I haven't seen the pictures at http://durman.xu.edu/delorean/ !!! I would have sworn you were in on the initial discussion when I was trying to decide on buying this car. >It must be a secret. You've mentioned "a price you can't refuse" twice >now, but I don't know what that IS!! Well, I would not refuse a hundred thousand, but how about an even swap for your three-rotor ;) >I assume it's a pretty low price because the car looks like it has been >beat to hell. It really sucks to see that someone cared so little for >their car. What'd it cost you? What work have you done on it? Do I >have to guess these things too? Ok, time to play twenty questions ;) Again, I thought you were in on all of this. I did get it for a good price. The car was not necessarily mistreated. The previous owner used it as a daily driver, and it was in good shape until the accident. He said all of the body damage occurred when he was t-boned and ran off the road. He drove it for some time with the door the way it is until finally parking it at his parents house. After a few months of trying to sell it, and at one time listing it in his local paper for a scant $500.00, his parents made him get it out of his yard. Someone offered him $300.00 for it and he refused that because he had just had new drive axles and a clutch installed before the accident. As I mentioned to someone else, had I seen the ad for the car at $500.00 I would have knocked people over trying to get to it first. All I have done to it thus far is clean out the fuel tank and the inside. Soon, hopefully, I will have the tank back together and a fuse block in and see if she still runs. The car is ugly, but everything underneath has been in really good condition, so far. What did it cost me? I will tell you, but first, what would you guess it is worth? I posted this same question to the list and got a wide range of answers. >What's the new car? What vin? what condition? What's that costing? Well I found out last night that the owner of the other car I found is an idiot. His wife wanted the car gone and asked him how much; he yelled 'twenty-five'. She took that as $2,500.00 but you can probably guess what he really meant. Greg Yahoo!
