Ah... the plugs are fouling. You didn't mention that. Is the fouling:
1) wet but clear (fuel flooding)
2) black, dry, fluffy (burning waaay rich)
3) black oily (oil contamination)

I believe that it -is- firing. Just not strongly enough. Eventually
the plugs foul and it quits. I felt it at the opening I made in the
exhaust.
Ugh..it's been so long now...I -think- I tried that but I'll do it
again when I get home. It would make some sense.
