DeLo converters are the honeycomb variety. Use a variety of mega screwdrivers, tire tools, metal rod, etc to chip it out (use your big hammer -- stuff is harder than you'd expect). Honeycomb is surrounded by wire mesh -- wrap it around a screwdriver like spaghetti to pull out. Muffler shop in town only stocks 3 bolt flanges, so I reused empty shell to connect muffler to Y pipe. As you heard yields a rather mellow exhaust tone (ex-converter now is a resonating chamber). You should feel my exhaust pressure -- measurable 3 feet from tips. How do you plan to get around MD emissions?
