Can dolly REGULAR automatics (front engine/rear differential) no sweat simply by removing drive shaft. Have no idea how to disable a DeLo automatic. Automatic transmissions can not spin without pump engaged unless you want to rebuild. Some people try to tow automatics backwards (front wheels on the ground), but that puts a lot of faith in the steering wheel lock. Also if wheels not totally straight makes an akward situation even worse. Have towed many vehicles with a dolly (once dragged a suicide door Lincoln, with leaking tires, all the way home from Ohio in a monsoon). Is not perfect, but works. And since my truck has the inline 300 (carbureted 4 speed), don't know if it could handle weight of complete trailer and car anyway. Built in wheel straps sometimes slip off, so I tie car to dolly itself with extra come-alongs. If towed car is especially large, removing dolly fenders will prevent damage around corners. Make sure dolly has safety chains on both sides, and keep them tight on truck (just enough slack to corner). Don't back up.
