Timeserts have to be perpendicular to the surface, and the intake manifold bolts are at an angle. But these would probably work great for exhaust manifold studs. I would thread a plug into the bottom of the hole and then use a Timesert to restore the threads. I didn't read enough of their web site, though. Do they provide a way to countersink the flange?
