They come with instructions, and actually aren't very hard.  I recommend
a new drill bit of the correct size, and go slow and drill it as
straight as possible into the old hole.

Some folks "lube" the insert with a little red loctite, which also make
sure it stays in place permanently.  I put a drop on when the insert is
threaded about the las 1/4" from being seated.

Now I don't care about the manifold. It's toast and I have a like-new 
set. I want to install a heli-coil in the head because I don't think 
there's enough metal left to tap it out.

Anyone know how to do this?
