It's charged with R12 drop-in replacement R413 That is interesting. R413 must have some different characteristics. Ryan in Germany was complaining about the short cycling too. I bet that using a VOV instead of a FOT would lessen the short cycling in cold weather. I have a bad otterstat, so if I kept my a/c on all the time (which I usually do in Florida anyway) the fans would run enough to cool the radiator. But now that I have installed a new VOV, the compressor runs so little that it isn't enough to keep the fans running, so the engine overheats. Time for a new otterstat. I'm changing the radiator at the same time. I already replaced the waterpump while I did the ignition. Walt Yahoo!
