My point was, why reinvent the wheel? In this situation the only reason I can think of is to take business away from the other vendors. Frankly, that is a fine thing to do but the DeLorean community would be better served if NEW problems were solved. Solving a new problem would likely be more profitable for the vendor who does it, so what is the motivation? Maybe you can answer that question for me John, because I remember not too long ago when you joined the DML being outspoken about how your "FanFix" was better then the "Fanzilla". I think Erik also commented about competition. I totally agree with you!! And when I needed a blower fan, I purchased it from Special-T (John) because he was much less expensive than Grady.. And yes, when the DMCH fuel sender came out Zilla had to lower the price on his. Was this good for us? Well, maybe if you need a fuel sender it is but if your the guy who needs a fuse block your still in big trouble! If I had a hunk of money to spend on a project to reproduce a part, it just makes more sense from a business and "DeLorean Enthusiast" point of view to first work on the parts that are unavailable with no replacement... Or, maybe it is just all about attitude? A very important item I think about when I choose who to do business with. --- John Hervey <john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Walt, > All the distributors and vendors have their problems > as you so beautifully > pointed out about Special T in one of your more > recent post.( I thought you > were a friend ) .
