The window motors that Mike and Dave are talking about are the heavy-duty replacements sold by all the vendors. It is an Electric Life product, and they don't sell retail. They won't let you buy wholesale unless you jump through a bunch of hoops, and those hoops mean that you need to deal in a volume much larger than any DeLorean vendor can manage. My guess is that the vendors buy these motors from an Electric Life retailer and mark it up accordingly. The last I checked is that you could by them from (whatever it is that link Dave posted) for $300 a pair. That is almost half of what the vendors charge. And if you ask nicely, they may give you a 10% discount. Mike, I saw the one in your passenger door, and you said that you put it in the same was as the drivers door done by D1. To describe it, the pointy end of the regulator mounts directly to the grab handle bracket (without one of the supplied offset brackets). Of all of these that I have installed, I couldn't get things to line up perfectly using any combination of their supplied brackets. So I made my own. This involved cutting off and removing part of the OEM grab handle bracket which was in the way. I think it is impossible to get it to work right with the bracket in the way. But keep in mind that my method is to make it move like a knife through butter and not have everything flex and bend and maybe pop off track like everyone else puts up with. I have plenty of photos of how I did it but just haven't scanned them yet and put them online. If anyone asks nicely, I'll make it a priority to get them online soon. Walt Yahoo!
