Hi Everyone, This is what I've been thinking for the Mount Dora Meet on June 15th. I have attached Maps of the location that we can meet. Because Mount Dora becomes very busy I thought it would be a good idea to have a few alternate sites for us to get together if there is no parking. Here is the order- #1 - W. 4th ave & N. Donnelly St. (Marked with a star) This location is perfect. There are two good restaurants right on the corner (Eduardo's Station & the Palm Tree Grill). Their are 8 Parking spots (4 on each side of the road) With three more further down. I will try to call the city to see if there is ANY way to block these off? (I doubt it!) If not, we can try to get them ourselves or just move to #2 or #3 locations #2 - Parking lot (Holds about 30 cars) #3 - Parking Lot (Holds about 20 cars) Their are a few more locations but these seam to be the best. Use the following directions and maps (go to MapQuest.com if you need more detail). Let me know what everyone thinks. Or we can do something else.. I-75 to 50 East to 19 North to 441 East to Mt. Dora. I-95 to I-4 south to 46 west to Mt. Dora. I-4 to 46 west to Mt. Dora. >From Florida Turnpike Exit at Howey-In-The-Hills I-19 North to 441 East to Mt. Dora. Hi Rick, I am game for meeting in downtown Mt. Dora. You are right; it seems a shame to waste our cars and arteries on the likes of Perkins & Wal-Mart. I have learned from our first meeting that the downtown area is an easy place to get lost in. If we all agree to meet there then we need specific explicit instructions and maps (and maybe even satellite navigation coordinates) to find the right spot! Would you or Ken care to pick a restaurant and parking area and directions to find it?
