Thanks for the offer, but I'm looking at opening it up first. The antenna rises fully, but doesn't allways retract entirely, leaving the last one or two segments extended. Fortunately this antenna doesn't keep pulling down and stops after a couple of seconds; I've seen an occasion with an aftermarket antenna on a previous car (non-DeLorean) where the antenna didn't retract dully cause a meltdown of the little motor inside without blowing the fuse! >From THAT experience I think the windup spool may be binding... But as it is now I'm listening to CDs, for at least 3 weeks, then the events I've entered in so far are all done and I have time to open things up that MAY render the car undriveable for some time... (Not the antenna, other things need fixing too). Thanks anyway, if I DO need an antenna I'll let you know. JAN van de Wouw Thinking Different... Using a Mac... Living the Dream...
