It's easy to forget the ages of people on this list since instead of age we usually sign off with VINs or work-related signatures. But I think the age range is something like 15 to 80. Pretty amazing that such diverse people in such a wide age range can be united by a devotion to an automobile and its creator. :) As far as the lazy schedule goes, I multitask a lot - I have to convince my boss of this as well - I drink coffee and check and answer e-mail while I'm uploading to the station web site, I do research online and take care of phone calls during pieces of music I'm playing, etc. After eight(ish) hours at the station, I usually go home and play trumpet and/or piano for three or four hours - but during that I transfer records to CD, check and answer e-mail (hey, I get a lot of e-mail, all right?), cook supper, do laundry, etc. Problem is, all that multitasking sometimes looks like I don't have anything in particular to do, since I keep "switching" tasks. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, right? Anybody else have the boss wander by the office door and wonder why you're sitting there stirring coffee not apparently doing anything else? (Not the self-employed. Y'all ARE the self-bosses! Heh heh.) On the weekends I do other work, usually musical, playing for musical theatre productions, weddings and church functions, etc. and squeeze in my recreation wherever I can. Eventually it will get even better - I'll be able to practice my music while answering e-mail, cooking supper, doing laundry, working on a DeLorean ... and the weekends will have even less "free" time as I become an Official Self-Reliant Amateur DeLorean Mechanic. Probably just as well, though, since although I enjoy playing pool I'm not really getting any better at it, and the beer industry would probably do all right if I didn't drink quite as much of it every weekend, and I don't acquire a lot of useful mechanical experience on my truck. :) Another pointless DMCForum post brought to you by ... -- Farrar Hudkins Announcer/Producer 89.9 WWNO FM New Orleans / 90.5 KTLN FM Thibodeaux-Houma Live audio stream @ www.wwno.org Yahoo!
