Is this the guy that bought 3 DeLoreans from some estate in TN? > When I disconnected the hoses on the CPR and blew out the part with an > airhose, all of the sudden I lost power to the fuel pump. Both the CPR and the fuel pump are powered off of fuse #7, so you might have blown it. This should be a 20A and if typical then it is probably melted in the socket. The standard fix is to snip the wires from the bottom of the fuse block and wire in a heavy duty pig tail fuse holder. Be nice to the next guy and buy electrician's numbered tape (at Home Depot) to identify the wires. > I figured a wire > came loose inside so I opened it up and can't make sense of the part. I assume you are talking about the CPR. The fuel pump doesn't come apart easily. I've never had a CPR apart, but have heard from people who have taken them apart & cleaned them successfully. You might just as well buy a new one. You can buy one for upwards of $150 from a DeLorean specialist or find one locally usually for around $87 to $100. There is a nickel/chromium heating wire in there to warm the thing up initially. If that has slipped, broke or come loose then it could have shorted out and blown your fuse. If the heater isn't working then the car will be very hard to start. Be careful with the copper or aluminum crush washers. They should not be reused. If they don't crimp properly then there can be a micro spray of fuel vapor coming out which if ignited will be like a blow torch. > I can't seem to find a good map of the fuse and relay system to find > secondary fuel pump relay? There are electronic copies to be had but they are usually copyrighted.
