Speaking of differences between 4-spade vs. 5 spade relays, never NEVER use a 5-spade relay to control the radiator fans. If you do then the 5th spade will short the fans out when they aren't on. This is a problem because DC motors also work as generators. When they are off but have wind blowing past them, they generate enough power to dimly light the fan fail light when driving at highway speeds. But if the relay is shorting them out then you are prematurely wearing out the brushes. But of course none of this applies if you are using a Fanzilla. Walt Yahoo!
