It seems like if one is going to put the money into NOS seat covers, one would be willing to shell out a few extra bucks to find a trained professional to do the job. It is not a simple process Hog Ringing the seats. I found a local gentleman near where I lived who did the job for $25.00. He was retired upholsterer and told me to strip down the old seat, bring it in and he did the rest. I would hate myself if I spent good money on this important part of the car and then screwed it up and did a half ass job. Just my 2 cents here, please don't get pissed off. _______________________________ Jack Stiefel - 104.9 Radio Cape Vincent Live Internet Radio at 104.9 Radio Cape Vincent <http://www.radiocapevincent.com/> Take a trip to the historic General Delos Sacket House <http://www.sacketmansion.com/> Proud member of the Audiorealm Radio Network <http://www.audiorealm.com/> -----Original Message----- From: Dave Stragand [mailto:dave.stragand@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2003 5:19 PM To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [DMCForum] Hog Ringing new seats Drench the foam bucks with armor-all -- it makes it much easier to get the covers on. Don't forget the metal bars in the slots provided (or cut coat hangers to size). Start with the the headrest. Pinch like he** and slide it over, then do the top fold and then the bottom. The rest should be easy. -----Original Message----- From: silverdelorean2002 [mailto:silvercrw646@xxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2003 4:33 PM To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [DMCForum] Hog Ringing new seats Hey guys i have bought some new delorean NOs Leather seat covers. I am trying to install them but have run into a confusing part. Anyone have any basic instructions on doing it. It seems that some of the rings can be put in from the back and some cannot such as the ones on the seat bottom. You cant access it from the back and also the headrest. There are two flaps there but only can access it through the front. I have the hog ring pliers too but it seems very hard to get the ones from the front in. anyhelp? thanks jon 10103 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
