Hi.the best way is to buy some scotchbrite (yes it really works) and use
it with 3m stainless steel polish (spray bottle)...

The thing you do is: spray the polish on the hood (for example)

                               It is a bit thick polish but that's is
the best 

                               Then start from one end with the scotch
rite patch(keep the patch all equally pressed) and make one movement
from the beginning of the hood to the end , (follow the lines that are
in the stainless steel) then at the end lift the patch !!!!! And start
at the beginning again (where you started), you will see the lines you
made (because its thick polishes) and also when you go not straight ...

                               If you do this several times..adding some
polish when necessary , you will make the surface really neat ...

                              A hood will take up to for hours so take
your time...

                              I also did not belief it at first but it
really works...especially for minor scratches...
